SLAM Research Day
This upcoming workshop will have a sharper focus on new research projects under development. Through peer feedback and constructive critique, projects-in-development will be workshopped in small groups so as to hone and enrich each project. We will regroup with a session about communicating your research to non-experts – now an essential skill for all researchers.
If you are planning or starting to work on a new research project – possibly for external funding via the ARC or another external funding body – and are interested in active participation in this workshop, please reply to slam.research@sydney.edu.au with a working title and a few brief notes about your project by Monday, 21 October 2019.
The focus of the day will be on workshopping the projects-in-development that are specified ahead of the event, but we will need experienced colleagues to lead and contribute to the discussions, and all interested colleagues will learn something from being part of the discussion. Projects-in-development do not necessarily need to be connected to external funding plans, but people working on such projects are especially invited to participate.
If you expect to have other commitments on that day you are encouraged to make alternate plans in order to be available for this workshop.
